Dr. John Saunders Served
as Part-Time Director July and August, 2002
|
** The Center for Christian
Growth and Development was extremely fortunate to have Dr.
John Saunders, Director of Missions for Yates Association, Durham,
NC, helping us in July and August, 2002. John
graciously agreed to use some of his Sabbatical Leave time
to assist the Center.
"Thank you
for the privilege of serving with the Center for Christian
Growth and Development, even if it is for just a short time.
It is my prayer and desire that God would use this time to
enhance the work of the center.
"Currently I am
the Director of Missions for the Yates Baptist Association,
which serves churches in the Durham and Chapel Hill areas.
Prior to being a Director of Missions I was a Minister of
Education and the Director of Congregational Development for
two associations. I have spent a lot of time in training and
developing lay leaders and in encouraging pastors in their
ministries.
"During the time
with the center this summer, I hope to visit with pastors,
staff members and lay persons and talk about the center. I
will be asking others how they feel about the ministry of
the center and how it can better meet the needs of ministers
and churches in eastern North Carolina. I hope to get
acquainted with many of you and to learn of your unique
ministry in God's Kingdom.
"Remember to keep
praying for the Center for Christian Growth and Development
and to take advantage of the training and encouragement that
it offers. Tell someone about the center and its good work.
It is truly a Kingdom ministry with a Kingdom focus."
John Saunders |
