Director's Weekly Time Management Suggestions (Between Sundays)
Sunday School Directors are usually very busy people,
shouldering many responsibilities, and often time poor. However, by
spending just a few minutes of intentional time each day during the week,
even busy leaders can accomplish still more for the Lord. Obviously, some
people by nature are better time managers than others. The rest of us
likely struggle to get all the "to do list" accomplished by day's or week's
end. Nor can everyone do everything suggested on this list. But we all
likely can improve! This week is a good time to start.
Sunday afternoon
 |
Pray and thank God for the faithful team of Bible study
leaders. |

Review attendance and Enrollment records and post to the
attendance/Enrollment chart. |
|
Check list of workers having birthday this week and prepare
birthday cards. |
|
Scan or review adult lessons for next Sunday. |
Monday
|
Pray and thank God for Preschool teachers and workers.
Phone one or two teachers to thank them for their work. |
|
Review list of visitors and mail note of greeting or send
Email. |
Tuesday
|
Pray and thank God for teachers and workers with Children.
Phone one or two teachers to thank them for their work. |
Wednesday
|
Monthly
or quarterly, convene and guide meeting of SS Leadership Team (SS
Council). |
|
Weekly or monthly, encourage and facilitate /teacher-worker
planning meetings by age groups. |
Thursday
|
Pray and thank God for workers with Youth. Phone one or two
teachers to thank them for their work. |
Friday
|
Pray and thank God for teachers and workers with Adults. |
|
Phone Adult teachers to assure them of your prayers and to
remind them to contact their Care Group leaders (to remind them to contact
their members and prospects. |
Saturday
|
Walk through the building to see if room setups,
cleanliness and maintenance allow an attractive, inviting learning
environment in all age groups. |
|
Once a month "Prayer Walk" Sunday School rooms. (Take class
rosters and records books. Sit in the classroom and read the list of
members and prospects. Pray for the teacher and members that the coming
Bible study time will honor Christ and be helpful to every participant. |
