Say, "Thank You!" to your Sunday School leadership team at Christmas.

A pack of hot chocolate and a note can provide a word of encouragement and something for a break amid the Christmas rush.  Write a personal note on a card to each worker, then insert a single pack of hot chocolate or cider mix along with a brief note you can print 4 per page on an 8 1/2 X 11 sheet.  The note I printed said:

"As a simple token of our appreciation for your friendship and your faithful service to Christ through Woodhaven’s Bible teaching ministry, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate.  Let its warmth remind you of God’s abiding and soothing love amid the hustle and bustle of our busy lives. Also, let it remind you of the warmth and fellowship that together we are making possible at Woodhaven Baptist Church.  Blessings!"

For a WORD file of this note email: rstewart55@nc.rr.com  and ask for hot chocolate note file.

Below is a design for a card that can be printed 4 copies to an 8 1/2 X 11 page, then tape a candy cane across the bottom of the card.  Arrive early at Sunday School and personally distribute these to your workers as you make your rounds from class to class.  If you have "MS Publisher" software and would like an E-file of this card, email a request to rstewart55@nc.rr.com.

A Christmas "Thank You!"

A bookmark, a cassette tape of Christmas music, and a continental breakfast:  Plan and schedule a simple continental breakfast for your workers and their families about 45 minutes prior to the beginning of Sunday School the 2nd or 3rd Sunday in December. Prepare gifts for each worker. Your Christian book store likely has inexpensive book marks in packages of 10 to 25.  Address a #10 envelope (available from an office supply or discount store) to each of your workers. Put a bookmark and a cassette tape in each. Distribute these personally as your workers arrive for breakfast.  For those unable to be at the breakfast, distribute gifts personally as you make your rounds at the beginning of the Bible study hour. Make your rounds early and avoid interrupting the study session. ... Idea: If cassette tapes are too expensive currently, watch for sales just before and after  Christmas. Purchase tapes at discount for use next year.

"Jesus! What a Name!" ... A bookmark and hot chocolate teacher appreciation idea...

I found bookmarks from Broadman Holman in packages of 25 that said: "He will be named Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6) I printed a thank you greeting to my Sunday School workers on yellow index paper, 6 per page (approximately 3 3/8 inch by 4 1/4 inch) printed in "landscape" format, cut them apart, and stapled the bookmark and greeting card to an individual serving packet of hot chocolate mix. On Sunday morning a couple of weeks before Christmas while making my usual rounds to all Sunday School classes, I gave a packet each teacher with a personal word of appreciation and best wishes for a Christ-blessed Christmas. Text on the card read:

Jesus!  What a Name!

Enjoy this hot chocolate and accept warm wishes for a wonderful Christmas season!

Let us all reflect on the wonderful name of Jesus:  Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, in heaven and earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.  (Phil. 2:9-11)

Thank you for lifting up the name of Jesus each Sunday as you teach at Woodhaven!

Jesus is our greatest treasure; You are treasured, too!  (Many thanks to Kerri and Brad Hurley for this idea!)  Snyder Memorial Baptist Church, Fayetteville and Woodhaven Baptist Church, Apex, said a Christmas "Thank You!" to their workers. As the the Sunday School directors made their rounds before Bible study on a Sunday before Christmas, they gave each teacher and worker a card with a simple verse and a piece of Treasure chocolate candy taped to the card. Below is a sample page that, when cut, provides eight small thank you cards.  For a copy of the WORD file, email: rstewart55@nc.rr.com.
